Design Concept:

The foundation of this Creative Music Artwork Design was a regal West African fabric, often used in wedding and engagement ceremonies. The intricate geometric patterns triangular, rectangular, and hexagonal are inspired by natural shapes found in the African landscape, symbolizing sophistication and cultural depth. These patterns also subtly echo the influence of the cubist art movement, blending African and European artistic traditions into a harmonious visual narrative.

The design’s dynamic composition reflects Afrobeat’s rhythm and energy, complementing the genre’s powerful and infectious sound. The artwork serves as a tribute to the African artistic legacy, highlighting the intersection of music, culture, and art. My Role in the Project:

As the Graphic Designer for this project, I meticulously interpreted the brief, conducted thorough research on Afrobeat’s cultural roots, and brainstormed creative concepts to visualize the artwork. Through the creation of sketches and prototypes, I was able to refine the design based on feedback and finalize a piece that captures Afrobeat’s dynamic essence. The final design not only reflects the musical energy but also showcases a fusion of cultural and artistic traditions, celebrating the spirit of Afrobeat in a visually engaging format.
